形態特徵

• A shrub; branches glabrous.
• . Leaves chartaceous, ovate to cordate, 9–14 cm long, 8–12 cm broad, the apex shortly cuspidate-acute, the base rounded or cordate, with 5 glands, the margins remotely serrulate, distinctly 3-nerved at base, glabrous above, thinly hirsute beneath; petioles 3–8 cm long; stipules caducous, cuspidate, 4–5 mm long. Flowers monoecious, spicate; spikes terminal, 7–10 cm long. Male flowers glomerate at each node; bracts triangular-cuspidate, about 2 mm long.
• Female flowers solitary; bracts about 3 mm long; sepals 5, triangular-cuspidate; styles 3, 6–8 mm long.
• Capsules depressed-globose, about 8 mm long and 10 mm across, glabrous; seeds complanate-obovoid, about 7 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : In secondary forests at low altitudes.
• 世界 : The species of southern China; the variety endemic to Taiwan.
